Based on the success of last years program, Brookfield Residential is once again sponsoring The Orchards Farmers’ Market Youth Entrepreneurship Market Program. The Youth Entrepreneurship Program offers a free stall for youths to sell their handmade products at The Orchards Bi-Weekly Farmers’ Market. 

The Orchards Farmers’ Market runs bi-weekly on Mondays from May to August (excluding August 5th). 

Market Location

• Orchards Residents Association (4059 Orchards Drive SW, Edmonton, Alberta) 
• Tents are set up on the east side of the parking lot.

Outdoor Farmers Market Dates (Mondays, 4:30-7:30 PM)

• May 27, June 10, June 24, July 8, July 22, August 12, August 26

Youth Guidelines 

• As an Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market, The Orchards Farmers’ Market adheres to the Alberta Agriculture Make/Bake/Grow guidelines, and prioritizes vendors falling in this category. All Youth Entrepreneurs must make, bake, or grow their products. 
• Adult supervision is required for Youth Entrepreneurs under 16 years old. 
• Vendors selling food products must complete approved food safety training, such as the online Alberta Food Safety Basics for Farmers’ Markets through Alberta Health Services. 

What is included? 

• 1 stall is 10 x 10 feet, tents are 8 x 8 feet.
• Maximum of 2 Youth Entrepreneurs per stall.
• Tents will be set up by the Market Manager and team.
• The market will be moved inside due to extreme weather (eg. thunderstorms, but not rain).
• 1 table and 2 chairs are provided for indoor and outdoor market days.
