Ages 16+ BollyX is a Bollywood inspired high intensity dance workout. It not only includes rhythms of Bollywood music but also incorporates sounds from south India, Indian folk and desi-pop. It is a very inclusive and extremely beginner friendly workout class. The instructor is certified to teach Low impact as well which means the class is going to have super fun modifications as needed.

We're excited to launch our brand-new crochet program, perfect for beginners looking to start their crafting journey. Over the course of 6 weeks, our experienced instructor will guide you through the basics of crochet, ensuring you gain confidence with each stitch. By the end of the program, you'll have completed not one, but two fantastic projects to show off your new skills. Join us and discover the joy of crochet at The Orchards!

Here's an overview of what you can look forward to:

Session 1:

  • Introduction to chains: single, double, triple crochets, slip stitch, and making a circle.
  • Discussion on yarn and hook sizes and their impact on project size and quality.

Sessions 2-6:

  • Projects: Cross-body bag and customizable granny squares.
  • Techniques: Puff stitch, V stitch, double crochets, joining squares, making a band, finishing, and more.

Materials Needed:

  • 4 different colors of yarn:
    • Main/base color (2 packs)
    • Green for leaves (1 pack)
    • Two additional colors (1 pack each)
    • Recommended yarn: Loops & Threads, 198 grams - 354 yards
    • Hook: Size 4.5 mm
    • Canvas tote bag for bag liner (optional)

Materials are available at Michaels. Alternatively, we can provide a materials package for you (yarns, hook, and tote bag) in 3-4 different color schemes for $40. Please email programs@orchardsra.ca before the class start date to purchase a package and a separate invoice will be created for you.

This 1-hour class is great for all levels, beginner to experienced, youth and adult. Our class is one of a kind, using a scientifically proven form of metabolic training that is guaranteed to leave you burning calories long after your class is done. With a mixture of kickboxing, MMA, plyometrics and calisthenics:

  • You WILL get healthier
  • You WILL have more energy
  • You WILL reshape your body
  • You WILL have FUN!!!!

Students are asked to come wearing loose-fitting comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Salsa is one of the most social and exciting Latin partner and solo dances out there. With practically every city including ours holding ongoing Salsa Social Nights, this dance allows you to have fun, be challenged, have a great workout and above all make new friends when you travel or when dancing locally here in our city. Come with or without a partner and learn in a fun and inviting environment. You are sure to leave with more friends to cheer you on. No experience required, suitable for all abilities.

Be sure to bring shoes you are comfortable dancing in!

Lift is a ZERO impact format that is choreographed and set to fun UpBeat music to keep you motivated throughout the whole class. UpBeat Lift is for all stages of fitness. So grab your weights and a yoga mat and come join me for class!

Please bring a yoga mat, 3 sets of weights (3lbs, 5lbs, & 8lbs recommended) and a water bottle.

Pilates is a type of mind-body exercise that promotes not only strength, tone, and flexibility, but also improves your posture and reduces stress. The Mat Pilates method aims to strengthen your core or “powerhouse”, lengthen the spine, build muscle tone, and increase body awareness. Mat Pilates exercises are based on the resistance provided by your body's weight and gravity, and the workout is performed on the ground using an exercise mat.
